Smoked Salt
I went to a restaurant a few years back at a hotel we were staying at in Chicago. I don't remember the name of the restaurant, but what I remember about it was the unique smokey flavor of a light, beautiful vinaigrette on my salad. I could not figure out how it got there. I asked the waitress and she told me that the chef makes his own smoked salt. I came home after my trip and had to try it.
